Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2020 Subaru Forester, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirror, which is also sold as a set.Whenever we use a towing mirror, it's really going to help expand our field of view. So that can really be useful whenever we're making a lane change, maybe trying to back up into a tight parking spot, or just want to keep a closer eye on what's going on behind us.So to give you an example on how much more ground we're going to be able to cover, you can see I'm visible in our towing mirror but not in our factory mirror. However, if I take a few steps closer to our trailer, I disappear out of the towing mirror and become visible in our factory mirror. That's really going to help eliminate any of those blind spots as well.So one of the big questions we get asked all the time in regards to these universal fit towing mirrors, is if you're going to have any vibration or noise, especially at higher speeds Well, to be honest with you, this one fits nice and tight. You can see if I kind of bounce it around, it's actually physically moving our factory mirror as well. more

Now it's also available as a set using part number CM11980-2.So here I am at the back of my trailer. Now you can clearly see me in the factory mirror, but if I step away you're going to lose track of me. That's where our towing mirror's going to come into play. It's going to make it a lot safer and a lot easier to get down the road knowing what's going on around us. Whether we're changing lanes, pulling up to the campgrounds or even backing up, our mirrors can give us that extended field of view, making it a lot easier and safer for us to get around.So here's what our mirror's going to look like and as you can see, it's going to use two clamps to clamp onto our factory mirror, and it's going to give us a mirror that's going to extend out past our factory mirror giving us more of a wider view. more

So here I am at the back of my trailer. Now, you can clearly see me in the factory mirror, but if I step away, you're going to lose track of me. That's where our towing mirror's going to come into play. It's going to give us a much wider field of view, make it easier to go down the highway, change lanes, or even pull up at the camp grounds 'cause we're going to be able to see what's going on around our trailer and be able to make those maneuvers safely. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Subaru Forester we're gonna be taking a look at the K-Source Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirror, part number KS3990. See, you can clearly see me in the factory mirror back here, but if I step away, you're gonna lose track of me. That's where our towing mirror's gonna come into play. It's gonna give us a much wider field of view and make it a lot easier and safer to get down the road, whether we're changing lanes, pulling into the campground, or backing up, these mirrors are gonna make it a lot easier.Now, our towing mirror is gonna attach directly to our factory mirror and extend out so we have that wider field of view. And it is gonna have dual mirrors on there, the smaller one being a convex mirror to act more like a spot mirror, and the larger flat mirror to give us more of a true perspective of what's directly behind us.Both of them are gonna be fully adjustable, so we'll be able to get the right angle we need when we're going down the road. In those close-quarters situations where we may need to fold our mirror in, we still can. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Subaru Forester we're going to be installing the K Source towing mirror, part number KS3891-2, for a quantity of two, and you can get it in a quantity of one with part number KS3891.So as you can see here, I'm visible in our factory mirror. But as I go towards the outside, I'm no longer visible int he factory mirror, but can still be seen in our additional towing mirror. This is extremely useful when changing lanes on the highway when hauling a trailer, and also during parking maneuvers and other evasive maneuvers. This mirror is going to be adjustable, so you can adjust it for the length and width of your trailer. There's a swivel ball located on the back side of the mirror so it's fully adjustable. This is useful if you have varying lengths and widths of trailer that you need to adjust it for. more

And you can get this in a quantity of one with part number 7070. And as you can see here, I'm perfectly visible in our factory mirror, but as I move towards the outside, I'm no longer visible in the factory mirror, but I can be seen in our towing mirror. This is especially useful when changing lanes on the highway, or during parking maneuvers.This is going to be your basic economical towing mirror. It's going to get the job done, and be adjustable for whatever trailer you've got. The mirror glass is fully adjustable. more

CIPA Dual-View Clip-on Towing Mirror Installation - 2018 Subaru Forester- Video
Speaker 1: Today, in our 2018 Subaru Forrester, we are going to be installing CIPA's dual view towing mirror, part number 11953-2 which comes in a quantity of two. If you just need a quantity of one, you can get that with part number 11953.So as you can see here, I'm perfectly visible in our factory mirror, but as I move towards the outside you lose vision of me in the factory mirror, but I can still be seen in our towing mirror. This is great when making lane changes on the highway or during parking maneuvers. It features two fully adjustable mirrors, one that is flat and one that is convex for additional viewing range.Now, while it is installed you are going to have some limited movement on your factory movement as it may contact the mounting locations. However, you will have most of the adjustment, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue. When installed the mirror does still fully breakaway so you don't have to worry about any scratches or abrasions in case it does happen to fold in.The adjustment knobs in the back will allow you to spread it wider or closer. more
